Ottawa Real Estate Stats and Commentary for April 2021

The Ottawa Real Estate Board released the April 2021 statistics. Some of these numbers should not be taken too far out of context.

Yes, the market has been highly beneficial for sellers, BUT, we are comparing to last April, the first full month of COVID lockdown. Nobody knew what was going to happen. CMHC was predicting a small to massive reduction in home sales and prices. We were all holding our collective breath, and masking. Buyers had to sign pre-visit forms, etc…it was the great unknown in April 2020.
